Payment Options

There is no eftpos or credit card facilities at Poplar Lodge. Payment can be made by cash, New Zealand cheque or direct credit.

Free Activity Booking Service

Being a wee bit adventurous ourselves, we have tried most of the local activities and many of the restaurants. So don't hesitate to ask us about activities and eateries. We can also provide a free booking service for all activities in Queenstown and Fiordland.

Coming to town to 4WD into Macetown or go Paragliding?

Call us and ask for Adin about up to date driving conditions and flying sites. Adin is a local paraglider pilot and commercial 4WD operator and is happy to share his experience.

During summer temperatures can climb to over 30 degrees Celsius. However generally the temperature range is between 15-24 degrees Celsius. Relax in the sun or experience some of the many activities in the region from hiking, paragliding, bungy jumping, rafting, Lord of the Rings Tours, sky diving, wine or garden tours.

Autumn brings colour to the region with artists and photographers flocking to Arrowtown to capture the spectacular scenery. The Arrowtown Autumn Festival is always popular for locals and visitors to celebrate fall and the region.

Spring is a welcome relief after  a long winter of skiing and playing hard. With it comes the flowers and buds of new growth, the bounce and playfulness of new born lambs with the warmth of the sun drawing us into other outside adventures like fly fishing and mountain biking.
